RENO, Nev. — The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) is now using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help visitors plan their trips.
The new tool is on the Visit Reno Tahoe website’s recently redesigned homepage. From there, you can take a quiz that will ask about your travel preferences and then create a personalized list of activities for your trip.
Reno Tahoe also partnered with travel company Matador Network to offer a new feature called GuideGeek, which is a chat bot that users can use to ask open-ended questions.
“The beauty of the site is, we have two audiences. We have people that are outside market and we have people here. The Matador AI tool, you can ask it questions for locals and it’ll tailor if for you. Likewise, when you’re identifying yourself on the quiz or on the site, all of those tools work for residents as well,” President and CEO of ad company KPS3 Rob Gaedtke said.
The newly redesigned site is available here.
