Atlas SEO, which has an office in the Union Building on Rose Lane, has told staff that it plans to wind down the company due to “severe financial pressure”.

The company was established by co-founders Charles Hodge and Lee Tadd in 2020.
It was acquired in 2024 by Gentoo Media, an affiliate marketing group in the online gambling and sports betting industry, which purchased Atlas SEO’s parent company, Titan Inc, for €3.2 million (£2.7m).
“The period since the founders left the company has been incredibly challenging,” Jonas Warrer, Gentoo Media’s CEO, said in a letter sent to Atlas SEO staff yesterday – which has been seen by this newspaper.
“We have fought to stabilise the business, but the turnaround simply has not happened fast enough, and the company is under severe financial pressure.
“As a result of this pressure, the company has taken the difficult decision to terminate the lease on the Norwich office.
“It is therefore proposing to close down our physical operations in Norwich and wind down the company. This means that regretfully, all roles based in Norwich are at risk of redundancy.”

The company said a collective redundancy consultation process will now take place.
Atlas SEO is a digital marketing agency specialising in search engine optimisation (SEO), content creation and online growth services for businesses.
Staff at the company told this newspaper that Mr Warrer announced the news in a meeting at the Norwich office on Thursday morning.
Gentoo Media operates a network of more than 150 websites that drive traffic and new players to licensed online casinos and sports betting platforms in return for commission on sign‑ups and player activity.
