Cloudflare Suffers Global Network Outage Amid Datacenter Maintenance

BREAKING: Cloudflare Hit by Global Network Issues as Multiple Datacenters Undergoing Maintenance

Tuesday, 18 November 2025 Cloudflare, the backbone of much of the modern internet, is currently investigating a widespread network issue that may be affecting customers around the world.

The company confirmed the incident at 11:48 UTC, warning that the problem “potentially impacts multiple customers.” Engineers are still working to identify the source of the disruption.

Support Portal Also Down

Compounding the situation, Cloudflare’s support portal run by a third-party provider is also experiencing technical failures.
Customers are reporting errors when trying to view or respond to support cases.

Cloudflare says support responses are still being processed, and users on Business and Enterprise plans can access live chat through the dashboard. Enterprise clients still have access to the emergency phone line.

Major Datacenters Under Maintenance Today

The outage comes at a time when Cloudflare is running simultaneous scheduled maintenance across several key datacenters in North and Central America increasing pressure on global routing and latency.

Maintenance currently in progress:

  • Los Angeles (LAX) 10:00–14:00 UTC

  • Miami (MIA) 09:00–12:00 UTC

  • Guatemala City (GUA) 08:00–12:00 UTC

  • Atlanta (ATL) 07:00 UTC today until 22:00 UTC on November 19

  • Chicago (ORD) Multiple overlapping windows between 05:00 and 21:30 UTC

Cloudflare has warned customers to expect rerouted traffic, increased latency, and temporary interface failures throughout these periods.

Unclear Whether Incidents Are Connected

It is not yet known whether the global network issue is related to the ongoing maintenance operations. Cloudflare says more information will be released as investigations continue.

Internet Services May Be Impacted

Cloudflare powers everything from website security to DNS, CDNs, and edge computing meaning disruptions could affect websites, apps, APIs, and online platforms worldwide.

Users in affected regions may experience:

  • Slow website loading

  • Temporary outages

  • Interrupted connections

  • Increased latency

Cloudflare is urging customers to subscribe to real-time incident notifications via the Cloudflare Dashboard.

More updates will follow as the situation develops.
