Bhubaneswar: The official website of Gangadhar Meher University (GMU) in Sambalpur was hacked on Wednesday evening, with posts like ‘ISI Zindabad’ and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ displayed across various pages.Hackers posted a large picture of the Pakistan flag flashing across the home page, while important links were disabled. Although the portal did not direct users to any other site, it displayed messages like ‘GM University got owned’, ‘hacked by overthrash1337′, ‘Pak Airforce Zindabad’ and ‘Pak Cyber Force’.

The breach sparked concern about the safety of important data on the portal, as students were unable to download admit cards or certificates.Deputy registrar U C Pati said that the matter has been reported to cyber police.
