New anti-fraud website launched in Gloucestershire

Launched by Gloucestershire County Council’s Trading Standards service and Counter Fraud Team, the site is part of a wider effort to keep residents and businesses safe.

The website, called Glass Jar (Gloucestershire Against Scams Joint Agency Response), is part of a multi-agency project to disrupt scams and support victims.

This one-stop resource is designed to help residents and businesses across the county stay informed, spot scams and protect themselves from fraud.

Councillor Paul Hodgkinson, cabinet member for trading standards at Gloucestershire County Council, said: “Fraud is one of the fastest-growing crimes and it can have devastating consequences for individuals and businesses.

“Glass Jar is a practical, easy-to-use tool that gives people the information they need to stay safe.

“This collaboration shows how agencies working together can make a real difference in protecting our communities.”

The website offers scam alerts, reporting tools and educational resources.
