The unveiling of the new recruitment website, along with dedicated recruitment social media pages and advertising, supports the Arlington County Police Department’s (ACPD) ongoing efforts to attract, retain and increase the number of police officers to serve and protect the Arlington community. For this undertaking, ACPD partnered with Epic Recruiting, a nationally recognized law enforcement recruitment agency, which has demonstrated success with law enforcement agencies nationwide. Epic Recruiting played a key role in developing an innovative branding and targeted marketing strategy to promote ACPD and drive potential applicants to a more modern, user-friendly website.

Using industry best practices, the new website includes high-resolution images and videos which capture the voices and experiences of our officers to increase applicant engagement into the hiring process.

Sworn Officer Position Highlights
- A competitive signing bonus of up to $25,000
- Effective July 1, Arlington County is raising the starting salary to $72,013.50 for new-hires and pay commensurate with experience up to 10 years for lateral officers with a maximum starting salary of $95,491.50
- Patrol officers work the equivalent of a 37.5 hour work week with 4 and 5 days off at a time
