In my opinion (as a former marketer), SEO will slowly become less important as AI will take over a big part of SEO. And your statements about content, UX and “word of mouth” are valid and more important than SEO itself. But as always, this is only an opinion amongst others.
My opinion is based on the fact that I use AI for 80 percent of what I historically used Google for. The future of SEO will be a high level of uncertainty. And yet I have found no Ads or major search links in AI.
So, short term, Yes. But long term I doubt.
Title is “Why is SEO considered a long-term digital marketing strategy”.
Post makes no question. Is the question whether it should be long term vs short term? Is the question whether it’s effective as a long term strategy?
